More importantly, while providing highly effective waterproofing, it perfectly preserves the substrate's “breathability” (air permeability). It does not block the substrate's natural pores, allowing internal water vapor to escape freely. This effectively prevents issues such as internal condensation, blistering of finish layers, and weathering/spalling caused by moisture accumulation.
